Grow Lights are very important allies in the care of plants in those environments where, for one reason or another, we are not able to offer them the right light conditions.
Today I bring you into the walls of my home, talking to you about the grow lights I chose for my houseplants, why them? Because as well as being functional, they have an attractive design and constitute a very pleasant piece of furniture, not only for our green friends but also for us who see them every day 😉
Before going to learn about the 3+1 grow lights I would like to talk to you for a moment about the recent technology developed by the «Bulbo» company, which is present in all the first 3 light models that we are about to present to you. It is an LED technology capable of reproducing the ideal light spectrum to best follow the growth of plants, in any place and season.
It therefore represents an excellent solution for most houseplants!
Type of plants
The Garden Light is especially recommended for aromatic plants, in fact it will be very convenient to keep in the kitchen, so as to always have aromas and perfumes at hand to throw into the pot! In general it is perfect for sowing and for small or medium sized plants.
Strengths
- White, red and blue LED light;
- automatic day and night cycle;
- low power consumption (about 8W);
- adjustable height to accompany the plants during growth;
- easy assembly;
- hooks to keep cables in order.
Further details
The Garden Light’s plate is large and roomy, so you can comfortably place 4 to 6 plants, depending on the size of the pot. Furthermore, the dish is quite deep, in this way it will be possible to insert the plants without a pot cover, add water to the dish and wait for them to drink through sub-irrigation.
A truly appreciable feature of this lamp is the possibility of changing the exposure hours with a simple button, thus going from 12 to 15 to 18 hours, the latter perfect for giving a decisive boost during the vegetative periods.
This grow light (as in reality the next two) is turned on in the evening, you let it go and it self-regulates with the day/night rhythm knowing that a day is made up of 24 hours, from the moment you turn it on it keeps the set light hours and will turn on again the next time.
As the plants grow you can raise the light using the potholders, so as to adapt to the growth of the plant.
Type of plants
I use it particularly for baby plants but it is perfect for all small and medium sized plants.
Strengths
- White, red and blue LED light;
- automatic day and night cycle;
- low power consumption (about 3.5W);
- easy assembly;
- hooks to keep cables in order.
Further details
As in the Garden Light, the tray is quite deep, allowing direct watering by sub-irrigation.
The timing is preset to 15 hours, perfect for growing baby plants.
The height is fixed, reaching approximately 40cm, also ideal for keeping on a shelf with one (or more) beautiful hanging plants!
Type of plants
This very particular grow light is suitable for medium and large plants.
Strengths
- White, red and blue LED light;
- automatic day and night cycle;
- low power consumption (about 2.5W);
- telescopic stick;
- hooks to keep cables in order.
Further details
This grow light was created for use on a single plant, inserting the tip of the stick directly into the soil. In reality, however, this stick, being telescopic, can be raised up to 1m in height, giving the possibility of bringing other plants closer and making them also enjoy the light of Leaf Light Care.
I’ve always had a great time with one, but if necessary you can also put two of these grow lights in a pot!
This last solution is suitable for those who have many plants and the need to illuminate them all without resorting to many smaller grow lights like the ones we saw before.
I composed it like this:
Once our «DIY grow light» has been assembled, simply set the timer clock and insert it into the socket, in turn you will then insert the plug of the grow light or the power strip to which you can connect more lights.
And lo and behold, you’re done!
